Development and commercialization of a mobile manipulator to improve productivity in industrial plants.

A mobile manipulator is a lifting arm that is mounted on a mobile unit and has a gripper on the arm that is adapted to grip various objects.
The lifting and manipulation arm consists of three key parts: the part of the arm that allows horizontal movement of the load, the part of the arm that allows vertical movement of the load and the link that ensures the unchanging position of the load with the help of the joints regardless of the position of the arm.
The gripper is a part of the manipulator primarily applicable to a specific product to be relocated and manipulated. It is relatively easily interchangeable which ensures a large area of adjustment of the entire manipulator.
The mobile unit is an electrically driven part of the manipulator that ensures that the manipulator can be accessed anywhere in the factory or on the runway. Its autonomy is given by rechargeable batteries, so it is not tied to a single location or position.
In addition to mobility, the mobile platform ensures the leveling of the manipulator arm with the help of a servomotor, so that the weight of the load never goes to the detriment of the operator.
Likewise, the manipulator comprises a software part that operates it. The lifting and manipulation of the load takes place with the help of electric motors which are controlled via the controls integrated in the control lever located at the end of the gripper near the load.
The relocation of the load from one place to another within the operation circle is performed by the worker himself by pushing or pulling the gripper, which is enabled by the assembly of several connected joints.
If the load is to be transferred outside the operation circle, the operator switches the manipulator to mobile mode and the manipulator follows the operator while carrying the load to the required place, which may be at the other end of the hall, in another hall or in another vehicle that will transport it to another work area.
Starting the mobile manipulator, i.e. its mobility, is software controlled in a way in which the software communicates with the sensors so that the manipulator can move without hitting anything along the way.
General objective of the project
The purpose of the project is to create a prerequisite for the sustainable growth and development of Centurion d.o.o. by completing the adaptation and commercialization of the innovative product of the applicant - "Mobile Manipulator" - a mobile arm system, which is operated so that the machine follows the hand of the worker who manages it and thus lifts various loads.
The product is intended for production and logistics plants of various industrial branches. The implementation of the project will enable the successful commercialization of the innovative product and entry to export markets, which will lead to the growth of total and export revenues, as well as the employment of 2 new employees.
